Creative statement from the perspective of the rider:
My evolution has no resolution.
I stood on the edge of a cliff, alone, bare to my future. Clouds hovered above me, obscuring the meaning of my past choices. Below me were all the choices I have yet to make, illuminated by the community that has embraced me. Before I could be overwhelmed by the scene, a cool wind kissed my tears and wiped them from my lashes. Then, my friend arrived. A black stallion with golden wings nuzzled my back, and I was comforted with courage. He reared and stomped and neighed and kicked and cried and flapped his wings ...and I got the message. I hopped on. His wings whisked away the clouds of my past, and my choices were made clear.
My desire to depart is greater than my fear of flying. My heart is falling in love with my destiny, and I am falling in love with myself.
